Sage Publishing wanted to target students and faculty of a select group of globally distributed universities to promote their research materials trial. They were having trouble targeting users in specific geographic areas AND by a user identifying as a student of faculty member. We proposed running a programmatic campaign, targeting the areas around the universities and created a custom intent audience that targeted people that shared behaviors with our two target demographics.

How It Worked
our impact
Our ads outperformed previous ad campaign types for this campaign and helped increase signups for research materials trials. We saw average CPCs of $0.03 from August to October, a click conversion rate of 7.22% from November to December, and 2,900 total conversions from August to December 2021. The ads proved the value of programmatic ads when targeting niche audiences and we’ve taken on many more campaigns for SAGE. We look forward to helping them continue to grow as we continue to refine their campaigns.
